Ravi Mandalia
Founder, Tennimax Private Limited
Ravi Mandalia is the founder and driving force behind Tennimax Private Limited. His journey into tennis equipment manufacturing began in 2021, when he identified a significant gap in the Indian market — the absence of a domestically manufactured, high-quality tennis ball brand.
Rather than taking the easy route of importing and reselling, Ravi chose to build from first principles. He spent months sourcing and testing products from over 30 companies worldwide, commissioned multiple market research studies, and then dove deep into the science of rubber chemistry and ball manufacturing — an unusual path for an entrepreneur.
In late 2023, Ravi formalised Tennimax's technical foundation by signing an MoU with the Rubber Research Institute of India (RRII), Rubber Board of India. Working alongside their expert team, he led the development of prototype tennis balls across all three ITF stage categories — Red, Orange, and Green — within 18 months.
Tennimax Private Limited was formally established in December 2024. Ravi is now overseeing the full development of the company's manufacturing plant in Ahmedabad, with beta production of tennis balls planned for mid-2026 and ITF approval submission targeted by end of July 2026.
