ITF Approval Submission
UpcomingTennimax plans to submit its tennis balls for International Tennis Federation (ITF) approval by end of August 2026 — a landmark step towards global recognition.
Trial Runs & Beta Production
UpcomingTrial production runs are scheduled for early June 2026. Beta production of Tennimax tennis balls is planned to commence by end of June 2026.
All Machinery In Place
UpcomingAll remaining machinery is expected to be delivered and installed at the Ahmedabad plant by May 2026.
Accessories Produced
The first lot of overgrips, base grips, dampeners, and racquet strings is ready for sale from May 2026.
Apparel Launch
UpcomingTennimax's first apparel line — boys' and men's tennis T-shirts, manufactured by an Ahmedabad-based apparel partner — is expected to be delivered in April 2026.
80% Machinery Installed
Approximately 80% of the plant machinery has been delivered and installed as of February 2026. Electrical infrastructure fully verified.
Machinery Arrives & Sampling Begins
Machinery started arriving in August 2025. By September, product sampling commenced — with significant learnings gathered from the early sampling process.
Factory Takes Shape
Vendors finalised, orders placed. Electrical work, plumbing, CCTV, and civil fit-out completed. Offices, storage area, lab, and reception fully operational by June 2025.
Manufacturing Plant Commences
Work began on the Tennimax manufacturing plant in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Factory premises finalised, GST registered, and machinery supplier evaluation initiated.
Tennimax Formally Established
Tennimax Private Limited was formally incorporated in December 2024, marking the transition from research and development to a fully operational business entity.
Prototype Development
Working closely with the expert team at RRII, Ravi successfully developed prototypes of Red, Orange, and Green stage tennis balls over a period of one and a half years — a significant technical milestone.
MoU with RRII
Ravi signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Technical Consultancy Division of the Rubber Research Institute of India (RRII), Rubber Board of India — to jointly develop tennis balls in India.
Deep Dive into Rubber Science
Upon receiving the market research reports, Ravi began an intensive study of the rubber industry, rubber chemicals, and rubber chemistry — building the foundational knowledge required to manufacture tennis balls from scratch.
Market Research
After establishing with certainty that 'Make in India' was the way forward, Ravi contracted three independent companies to conduct market research on the tennis balls market in India.
The Vision
Ravi Mandalia envisioned building a tennis ball and accessories brand in India. He began extensively researching the market — contacting over 30 companies across the world to source tennis balls, grips, and accessories, testing them for quality and build quality.
